Abstract

These Regulations make it an offence to market certain varieties of fish for human consumption unless they have been graded and labelled in accordance with the specifications contained in Council Regulation (EEC) No. 103 of 1976 which lays down common marketing standards for fish offered for sale in Community markets, any such offence to be liable to prosecution. The varieties in question include cod, haddock, whiting, saithe (black pollock or coley), plaice, hake, herring and mackerel.
