Abstract

These Regulations give effect to Council Directive No. 2008/71/EC (“Codified Directive”) concerning the identification and registration of pigs by stipulating that a reference in any enactment to a Directive repealed by Article 11 of the Codified Directive or to a provision of a Directive repealed by that Article, is construed and has effect as if the reference is a reference to the Codified Directive or to the equivalent provision of the Codified Directive and is to be read in accordance with the correlation table set out in Annex II of the Codified Directive.
