Abstract

This Order gives effect to Commission Decision 2006/241/EC concerning certain protective measures with regard to importation of certain products of animal origin, excluding fishery products, originating in Madagascar. The Order prescribes that a person, including the master or person in charge of a vessel or aircraft, shall not import an animal product as defined in regulation 2 from Madagascar or cause or permit another person to import an animal product from Madagascar and shall not have in his or her possession or under his or her control an animal product that has been imported in contravention the above rule.
