Abstract

These Regulations place restrictions on the manufacture, importation, possession and placing on the market of animal remedies as defined by Community legislation here implemented. These remedies are also used in aquaculture. The Regulations further: provide for testing, inspection, exemptions and the keeping of a register of authorized animal remedies by veterinary practitioners and a register of manufactured remedies by producers; place restriction on the movement of certain animals; and provide for the marking of animals, identification cards for animals, self monitoring and destruction of certain animals.
