Abstract

This Order amends S.I No 565 of 2005 and gives effect to Commission Decision 2005/692/EC concerning certain protective measures in relation to avian influenza in several third countries. 'Several third countries' now means Cambodia, Peoples Republic of China including Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, North Korea, Pakistan, Thailand, and Vietnam. Article 7 is amended by inserting after Regulation 7(2): “ (3) Paragraph (1) does not apply to the import of unprocessed feathers and parts of feathers from Mongolia”.
