The Institute shall have as objectives: to build the capacity of those engaged in the production and supply of meat and dairy products: and to ensure that quality standards are maintained in the production and supply of meat and dairy products. The Institute shall, among other things, establish a laboratory and provide sample analysis and quality assurance services, at a national level, relating to meat and dairy products and livestock inputs. The Institute shall have a Board and a Director General, who shall be the chief executive officer of the Institute.
