Abstract

This Regulation, made by the Minister of Forestry and Fisheries under sections 13 and 18 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act, 1996, requires all producers and exporters of table grapes to keep such records and render the returns as may be required by the South African Table Grape Industry (SATI). Records and returns concern: (a) vine surveys; and (b) the volume of grapes destined for export. This measure is necessary to ensure that continuous, up-to-date and accurate information relating to the products as defined, is available to all role players the in market of such products.
