Abstract

By the present text, the Minister of Agriculture adds articles 2 to 10 to the original text of Presidential Order No. 67. Articles 2 and 3 strictly prohibit within the entire national territory and during the entire year, collection, transplanting, eradication, transporting, vending and exporting of all plant species listed down in Table A. In same manner, it is strictly prohibited killing, injuring, catching, vending, transporting, exporting and stuffing of all animal species included in Table B. Special mention is reserved to stuffed animals; more specifically, persons having in their possess stuffed animals included in Table B and therefore declared as protected, must declare so within six months to the local competent authorities of the Ministry of Agriculture. Two particular snail species "Helix" and "Eubania" are also especially mentioned; it is prohibited in fact, collecting and vending these snail species during reproduction, that is within the period starting the 1st of January until the 31st of January of the forthcoming year. Competent authority for the coordination and efficient protection of these plant and animal species shall be the General Direction of Forests and Forestal Environment.
