Abstract

Section 1 defines the application sphere of the Act and gives a definition of "epizootic disease". Occurrence of the disease shall be immediately reported in accordance with section 2. Suspected cases of the disease shall be investigated by veterinarians (sect. 3). The veterinarian may declare premises suspected to be infected to be restricted area under section 4. Subsequently Upon ascertaining of infections a government agency may release an infection declaration (sect. 5), and take prescribed measures to isolate the area. Section 7 outlines powers of the State Agricultural Agency for purposes of fighting diseases. Supervisory powers are assigned to the Agency and county authorities (sect. 9). Remaining provisions concern compensation of damages, appeal against decisions and offences. (14 sections)
