Abstract

These Regulations, consisting of 44 sections divided into 13 Parts and completed by seven Schedules, provide for the conservation, management, preservation and protection of the environment. The Regulations are divided as follows: Part 1 Preliminary; Part 2 Administrative matters; Part 3 Control of pollution generally; Part 4 Audible alarms; Part 5 Appeals; Part 6 Tyres; Part 7 Anti-fouling paint; Part 7A Burning on development sites; Part 8 Monitoring; Part 9 Landfill levy; Part 10 Things seized or forfeited; Part 11 Modified penalties and Tier 2 offences; Part 12 Infringement notices and offences; Part 13 Miscellaneous; Schedules 1 to 7 deal with: Prescribed premises, Works approval fee, Licence fee, Tyre landfill exclusion zone, Areas where burning matter on or from development sites is prohibited, Infringement notice offences, Forms.
