Abstract

This Act makes provision with respect to environmental management and protection in Zanzibar. It also provides in particular for the protection of biodiversity. The Act defines the right of every person to a clean and healthy environment and defines the duty of every person to promote the purposes of this Act. The Act also sets out principles of sustainable development.
