Abstract

This Notice of the Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs identifies activities that require authorization prior to commencement. It also identifies competent authorities for purposes of sections 24(2) and 24D of the National Environmental Management Act. Investigation, assessment and communication of potential impact of activities must follow the procedure as described in regulations 22 to 26 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations. Activities include construction in the field of mining and in coastal zones.
