Abstract

The purpose of the present Ordinance is to transpose into the Hessen law the Council Directive 97/11/EC amending Directive 85/337/EEC on the assessment of the effects of certain public and private projects on the environment of 3 March 1997. In particular, the Law lays down provisions relating to the evaluation of adverse effects on the environment of public and private projects. The text consists of 6 articles as follows: Purpose of the Law (1); Definition of terms (2); Sphere of application, assessment of environmental compatibility (3);Sphere of application, strategic environmental assessment (4); Power to issue statutory ordinances (5); Transitional provisions (6): ? Annexes are enclosed. Four Annexes are enclosed.
