Abstract

These Regulations make provision for the licensing of restaurants by the Chief Environmental Health Officer and prescribe rules for hygienic conditions for and hygienic handling of food in restaurants. The Regulations provide also for inspections of restaurants by Environmental Health Officers or a Medical Officer. Requirements concern, among other things, the premises, utensils used, health and hygiene of staff, bacterial treatment of storage of food.
