Abstract

These general provisions of Title 25 concerning public health and the environment define duties and powers of the Director of Health or his or her authorized representative and the “Pulenuu”, a local authority. Further a long list of definitions, applicable in part also to the other provisions of the Title, is given. The Director shall carry out inspections and may order compliance with the provisions of this Title and the immediate abatement of public health nuisances. Furthermore the Director shall investigate complaints and may make Regulations, under the direction of the Governor, on various matters relating to water, food, pollution control, etc.
