The Authority is charged with formulating and giving effect to a rural road network programme, improving rural water supply and implement policies on the supply of water to rural areas, identifying and giving effect to programmes that would enhance productive and economic activities in the rural areas and contributing towards improving the quality of life and standard of living of the people in the rural areas of the State, amongst other functions. The Authority liaises with the rural communities in carrying out its functions as provided under the Law. Full text English
