The text – consisting of 25 articles – provides, inter alia, for the following: criteria for designation of toxic substances; matters to be discussed by the Chemicals Control Committee; organization and operation of expert committees; policies or plans subject to consultation; chemicals subject to investigation of volume of discharges; exceptions to disclosure of chemical handling information; hallucinogenic substances; supervisors of hazardous chemicals; imposition and payment of penalty surcharges.
