This Act enters into force on 11 August 1982.
Abstract

This Act, consisting of 72 sections divided into eight Parts, concerns the construction, operation and maintenance of pipelines for the conveyance of hydro-carbons destined to energy production. The Act regulates permits and licences and related procedures and registration (Parts 2, 3 and 5), defines guidelines and requirements for the construction of, operation and maintenance of pipelines (Part 4) and sets down environmental offences related (Part 5A).
