Abstract This Act, consisting of 72 sections divided into eight Parts, concerns the construction, operation and maintenance of pipelines for the conveyance of hydro-carbons destined to energy production. The Act regulates permits and licences and related procedures and registration (Parts 2, 3 and 5), defines guidelines and requirements for the construction of, operation and maintenance of pipelines (Part 4) and sets down environmental offences related (Part 5A).
