The present Law enters into force on 1 January 2000.
Abstract

The present Act regulates the energy policy of the Canton of Uri. The Canton shall ensure a sufficient economically sustainable energy supply as well as a rational energy use. Every kind of energy shall be used sparingly and rationally; the Act promotes in particular the use of renewable energy. Renewable energy is hydraulic forces, sun energy, biofuel, including wood, the heat coming from groundwaters and surface waters, air and earth, as well as wind energy.
