Entry into force notes
The present Law enters into force on 24 June 2002.
Abstract

The purpose of the present Law is to regulate activities and competences of the Canton within the energy policy. The Law creates also a framework for the sparing and rational use of energy and use of renewable energies. All buildings and connecting facilities and equipments shall be planned, constructed and run in such a way as to use energy sparingly and rationally. The text consists of 23 articles divided into 7 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Energy saving measures for building and plants (II); Promotion (III); Provisions concerning the electricity market (IV); Fees and penalties (V); Transitional provisions (VI); Final provisions (VII).
