Abstract

The purpose of the present Law is to regulate the cantonal energy policy and to enforce the federal legislation on the subject thus contributing to a supply of energy being secure, efficient, economical and environmental-friendly. All energy shall be used sparingly and rationally. Resources shall be as far as possible spared by using renewable energy. Local energy resources shall be widely used. The dependency on one single energy source shall be avoided. Energy shall be made available and distributed economically and environmental-friendly. The text consists of 26 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Energy saving measures (2); Energy supply (3); Energy promotion (4); Final provisions (5).
