Abstract

The present Regulations enforce the Energy Efficiency Act (S.C. 1992, c. 36). In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the sale and lease of appliances not complying with the prescribed efficiency standards and not meeting the prescribed labelling requirements. The text consists of 18 sections divided into 8 Parts as follows: Energy-using products (I); Energy efficiency standards (II); Labelling (III); Verification mark labelling (IV); Provision of information (V); Information pertaining to imports (VI); Exemptions from provisions of the Act and the Regulations (VII); Coming into force (VIII). Five Schedules are enclosed.
