Abstract

This Ordinance places restrictions on the exportation or importation of any specimen of a species that is for the time being included in Appendix I, II or III to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (protected goods). Importation or exportation of protected goods requires a licence issued by the Management Authority on advice of the Scientific Authority. Both authorities shall be appointed by the Governor in Council. The Ordinance also grants regulation-making powers to the Governor in Council and provides for powers of enforcement.
