Abstract

This Act amends the Endangered Species (Control of International Trade and Traffic) Act in section 5 to review the fines upwards in order to have a more deterrent effect and reflect the economic realities. It also amends section 1 (prohibition of hunting of or trading in wild animals) so as to cancel the "as from the commencement of this Act" wherever it occurs.
