Abstract

The Endangered Species Act aims to protect indigenous plants and animals of the Trust territory in Micronesia. The Act includes provisions covering definitions, prohibited acts, exceptions and regulations. There are also restrictions covering the importation of endangered species, exotic plants and animals. Violations and penalties may result in confiscation of plants and equipment.
