Abstract This Decree is composed of 14 articles. Article 2 defines requirements and conditions for the physical person and juridical person intending to import and trade with pesticides which are: (a) to be registered in the Importers Register; (b) holders of previous licences from the Department of Sanitary services and Public Health; and (c) to be registered in the Commercial Register. Article 3 deals with applications. Imported pesticides shall be controlled and examined by competent officers. Article 5 deals with requirements for packages of pesticides. Article 6 decrees the keeping of a register for pesticide traders. Article 7 prohibits to sell any quantity of pesticides unless to the Agriculture Department and to the Public Health Department. Article 10 defines measures to be taken by the Department of Sanitary Services and Public Health against pesticides that are incompatible with the necessary requirements and standards.
