Abstract This Act lays down rules for the establishment and functions of the Department of Labour and Labour Advisory Board; contracts of employment; working hours for employees; protection and regulation of wages; leave entitlement; and discipline and termination of employment. The fundamental principles are set out in Part IV, including prohibition of forced labour; prohibition of discrimination; equal pay for equal work; remedies for infringement of rights; and no reprisal.
