This ordinance is within the scope of the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading Act (Treibhausgas-Emissionshandelsgesetzes). It serves to substantiate the requirements of §§ 5, 6, 8, 9, 21, 22 and 24 of the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading Act and the implementation of a System for privileging small emitters for the Trading period 2021 to 2030 (Umsetzung eines Systems zur Privilegierung von Kleinemittenten für die Handelsperiode 2021 bis 2030). The ordinance is divided into 10 chapters: General provisions, reporting on emissions, monitoring, auctioning of emittance, allocation of emittance, certification of inspection bodies, fees and expenses for official acts of the admissions Board, procedures for identification of uniform facilities, small emitters, and final provisions.
