Abstract

In accordance with the Section 3(1) of the Emergency Powers (Disaster) Act, Chapter 15:03, the President may declare that a state of emergency, where Dominica or any part thereof is affected or is imminently likely to be affected by a natural hazard, outbreak of pestilence, or outbreak of infectious disease or other calamity. To this end, the President hereby declares that a public emergency has arisen in Dominica as a result of 2019-N CoV, an infectious disease commonly known as COVID 19.
