Abstract

This Act confers powers on the President of Zimbabwe to make emergency Regulations where a declaration in terms of subsection (1) of section 31(J) of the Constitution has been made and so long as that declaration is in force. These Regulations may be made for, among other things, the maintenance of essential services including any service relating to the supply and distribution of water or sewerage or any service relating to the production, supply, delivery or distribution of food. The Regulations may make provision for the acquisition by the State of any property other than land.
