The present Act regulates: a) the production, transmission and distribution as well as the supply of electricity; b) the organization and functioning of the electricity sector; c) market access; d) the criteria and procedures for tendering and awarding of permits; and e) the operation of networks. The text consists of 42 articles divided into 9 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Subject to authorization (II); Energy plants (III); Operation and maintenance of networks (IV); Access to networks (V); Accounting (VI); Organization and implementation (VII); Penalties (VIII); Transitional and final provisions (IX).
