Abstract

The present Act concerns the restructuring of the electricity efficiency. A franchise will be created that sells long-term energy savings in direct competition with energy supply options and will operate under the brand “Efficiency Nova Scotia". For the purpose of the present Act "corporation" means the Efficiency Nova Scotia Corporation established pursuant to the Efficiency Nova Scotia Corporation Act. Section 4 deals with transfer of information on behalf of the Corporation to franchise holders. Section 3 establishes that where there is a conflict between this Act or the regulations and the Efficiency Nova Scotia Corporation Act or the regulations made pursuant to that Act, this Act and the regulations prevail.
