Abstract

An Ordinance to regulate in particular the hygienic requirements of egg production. The Ordinance contains at the outset a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed. Article 3 deals with trade in, production and treatment of, egg products. Then the Ordinance deals with issues such as, use of additives, packing and labelling of egg products, egg products unsuitable for human consumption, authorization of production plants, importation of egg products, authorization of plants for the importation of egg products. Finally, the Ordinance sets out penalties in case of violation. The Ordinance consists of 17 articles and 5 Annexes.
