Abstract

Section 3 of the above-mentioned Regulations describes the boundaries of the areas in the Bonavista Bay which shall be designated as marine protected areas (Duck Island Marine Protected Area and Round Island Marine Protected Area). Section 6 establishes that every person who proposes to carry out a scientific or an educational activity in a marine protected area shall submit to the Minister for approval a plan containing the information listed in this section. The text – consisting of 9 sections – deals with the following aspects: interpretation, application, designation, prohibited activities, activity plan, reporting of accidents and coming into force. Two Schedules are enclosed.
