Abstract

The present Regulations enact section 25 of the Environmental Protection Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the operating of drinking water and wastewater facilities. Section 2 establishes that no owner of a facility shall operate the facility, or permit it to be operated, unless a) a facility classification certificate has been issued; or b) a facility classification certificate is deemed to have been issued. The text consists of 19 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: Facility classification (I); Operator certification (II); Drinking water supply facility monitoring requirements (III); Wastewater treatment facility monitoring requirements (IV). Three Schedules are enclosed.
