Abstract

The aims of this Act are to protect livestock and poultry against dangerous communicable animal and avian diseases, to develop the livestock and poultry industry in the country and to free the country from dangerous animal and avian diseases in order to export healthy animals to foreign countries. The Minister of Agriculture shall make animal vaccination compulsory in case there should be a threat or existence of a highly communicable disease in a certain locality. Penal provisions are set out in section 6.
