Abstract

This Order provides for the restrictions of premises and other measures to be taken where Transmissable Spongiform Encephalopathies is suspected in sheep or goats. Measures include: detention pending examination, inspection and sampling, marking of animals or carcases, restrictions on premises on which disease is present, prohibition on movement of animals, destruction and disposal of carcases. An inspector may issue licences for the purposes of this Order on behalf of the Minister and set out conditions in such licences.
