Abstract

For the purpose of giving effect to Commission Decision 2001/ 223/EC of 21 March 200 as amended by Commission Decision 2001/282/EC of 6 April 2001, to prevent the spread of foot-and-mouth disease, this Order provides for restriction on imports of animals and animal products, such as milk, fresh meat and meat products from or through restricted areas (as defined) in the Netherlands due to Foot-and-Mouth situation in that country. "Animal" means an animal of the bovine, ovine, caprine or porcine species or other biungulate.
