Abstract

This chapter of the Code of Alabama regulates discharge of litter and sewage from watercraft. Specifically, it provides for restrictions on use of marine toilets; rules, regulations and orders generally adopted by the Board of Health; approval by Commissioner of Conservation and Natural Resources or Governor of Alabama; contents of rules, regulations and orders generally; compatibility of marine toilet standards with federal standards; marine toilets to be certified and approved by the Board of Health; on-shore trash receptacles at marinas, etc; public education program; expenditures by the Board of Health; enforcement of chapter, rules, regulations, etc.; prosecutions under chapter; violations and penalties; disposition of fines under chapter; and applicability of chapter, rules, regulations, etc.; and conflicts with other regulations, ordinances or laws.
