Abstract All vessels which have installed a sorting grate in the cod trawl may fish, in accordance with conditions established by the present Directive, in areas of the Norwegian Economic Zone north 64° N, in the fisheries zone and the inner and territorial waters of Svalbard. The amendments of the principal Decree: (a) specify that all vessels means Norwegian and foreign vessels; (b) further delimit the area of the Norwegian Economic Zone to which the principal Directive applies; and (c) allow also fishing in areas temporarily closed for reasons of excessive fishing of undersized fish by cod trawlers which are allowed to fish in accordance with the principal Decree.
