Abstract

These Rules, issued by the Director-General of the Department of Fisheries under section 11 of the Fisheries Ordinance of 2015, concerns control of labour laws in factories/plants operating a business related to an aquatic animal. It also concerns enforcement of the law regarding employment of foreigners in the industry. There shall be a Committee of public officers, which shall be the principal organ for the control regarding observance of provisions of section 11 of the Royal Ordinance on Fisheries. Section 11 prescribes that a factory operator who engages in a business relating to aquatic animals is prohibited from employing a person in violation of the law on labour protection or an alien who does not hold a licence under the law on working of aliens.
