Abstract This Directive is composed of 9 articles. Article 1 deal with terms and definitions. Article 2 decrees the establishment of the Licensing Committee for Cattle Slaughterhouses. Article 3 defines requirements and conditions for lands destined as slaughterhouses. Establishment of new slaughterhouses should be carried out after previous authorizations (art. 5). Article 6 defines technical and sanitary requirements and conditions for cattle slaughterhouses. Veterinary surgeons shall examine animals before slaughtering and meat after slaughtering (art. 7).
