This Directive enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Directive is composed of 14 articles. Articles 1 and 2 deal with terms and definitions. Article 3 defines requirements and conditions for issuing hunting licences and licence's fees. Article 4 defines requirements and conditions for issuing temporary hunting licences and licence's fees for foreigners. Article 5 lays down requirements for the renew of hunting licences and licence's fees. Article 6 specifies obligations and requirements for hunting licence-holders. The Royal Committee for Nature Protection is the Authority responsible for hunting affairs (art. 7). Article 8 fixes hunting seasons. Categorical interdiction to hunt by all methods and gear in the desert region located at east of the Hijaz Railroad unless during the period fixed by the Minister of Agriculture (art. 9). Article 10 provides for hunting, catching, possessing or selling wild birds or animals not mentioned in the Hunting Regulating List. Article 11 prohibits to embalm wild birds or animals mentioned in the Hunting List unless upon previous licences from the Minister of Agriculture. Article 13 interdicts the introduction of wild animals and birds in Jordan without previous authorizations from the Minister of Agriculture. Article 14 contains offences and penalties.
