Abstract This Directive is composed of 7 articles and 1 Annex. Article 1 deals with terms and definitions. Provisions of this Directive shall be applied to the importation and exportation of all agricultural commodities (art. 2). Article 3 defines requirements and conditions for agricultural consignments. Article 4 decrees that the sample analysis shall be carried out according to the Jordanian Standardization and Metrology. Article 5 specifies the measures to be taken in case of incompatibility of agricultural consignments with the JSM. Article 6 deals with the distruction of incompatible consignments and with the competent authority charged to distruction operations. Article 7 contains offences and penalties.
