Abstract This Directive is composed of 20 articles. Articles 1 and 2 deal with terms and definitions. Article 3 decrees the establishment of the Animal Feed Committee. Articles 4 and 5 define requirements necessary for the establishment of factories for the production of feeds. Articles 7 and 8 fixe distances between factories of feed and animal breeding farms. Article 9 specifies requirements for structures of feed factories. Article 10 defines requirements and conditions for companies, firms and singulars desiring to take up the aforementioned activities. Article 11 lists un-allowed activities in feed factories. Articles 12 and 13 provides for conditions and requirements for the preparation and importation of processed feed, raw feed, ready composed feed and feed additives. Article 14 imposes upon owners of feed factories to keep a feed register. Article 16 deals with the issuance and renew of licences. Article 18 pertains to the control, inspection and analysis of feed by the Committee provided for in article 3. Article 19 contains offences and penalties. Resolution No. 6 of 1990 on feed production and trading is now abrogated (art. 20).
