Abstract This Directive is composed of 14 articles. Articles 1 and 2 deal with terms and definitions. Article 3 decrees the establishment of the Poultry Slaughterhouses Licensing Committee at the Ministry of Agriculture by a resolution of the Minister. Articles 4 and 5 define requirements for the establishment of poultry slaughterhouses which necessitates a previous authorization by the Ministry of Agriculture. Articles 6-8 specify technical and sanitary requirements for the establishment of a poultry slaughterhouses. The meat shall be compatible with the sanitary and technical requirements provided for in the Jordanian Standardization and Metrology related to poultry (art. 11).
