Abstract This Directive applies to fishing with cod trawlers by Norwegians and foreigners and in an area the coordinates of which are specified. A sorting grate with a distance of 55 mm between the ribs shall be compulsorily installed on cod trawlers. Sections 5 to 8 specify the types of sorting grates which may be used. Section 9 lays down special rules respecting the use of Russian trawlers with 4 panels.
