Abstract

The Directive sets the maximum residue level (MRL) for mercury in fish products for human consumption at 0.5 mg/kg fresh product. For species listed in the Annex, the MRL may be increased up to 1 mg/kg fresh weight. Tests shall be carried on selected samples and details on the sampling and testing procedures are indicated.
