Abstract

This Directive concerns the air or land transport or howsoever otherwise moving from one place to another of any modified organism. In order to be engaged in the transport of modified organisms, a driver shall be licensed by the competent licensing agency and certified by the Environmental Protection Authority of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. The competent licensing agency shall only issue a license once the driver has satisfactorily passed an established training programme and may limit the number of licensed drivers. The competent licensing agency shall carry out inspection of drivers and vehicles to ensure compliance with permit conditions.
