Abstract

All vessels which have installed a sorting grate in the cod trawl may fish, in accordance with conditions established by the present Directive, in areas of the Norwegian Economic Zone north 64° N, and in the areas to be established by the Director of Fisheries in accordance with Decree No. 502 of 1996. A sorting grate with a distance of 55 mm between the ribs shall be compulsorily installed on cod trawlers. The grate shall be conform specifications contained in the Annex (here omitted). Sections 5 to 9 specify the types of sorting grates which may be used. (13 sections)
